Most financial institutions (aka: banks) provide debit card (ATM) services to their clients. Debit cards and checks are handled and processed by the financial institution in the same manner.
TSYS / TransFirst advises to enter "debit card" transactions as "credit card" transactions. By doing so, there is no need for a PIN number for a "debit card" transaction. The payment will process quickly into your bank account.
Therefore, ATM payments via TSYS / TransFirst are possible if a debit card is utilized and the “credit card” payment type is selected for the transaction.
If a generic “bank debit card” payment type is desired for the transaction Description, it must be input by the dental office. The payment type should mimic the setup of a credit transaction.
