The "Patient Portal" and the "Payment Portal" each allow online payments, yet have separate access and usage functions.
Payment Portal
- Does not integrate nor require usage of the "Patient Portal"
- Payment requires the office's usage of a Denticon Pay or Open Edge account
- Requires office's activation of the feature within "Setup / Offices" to apply a Responsible Party’s unique Payment ID to the generated statements
- When statements are generated, there is a unique Payment ID generated and provided on the Responsible Party statements
- All generated statements will have a unique Payment ID for the individual Responsible Party
- No Responsible Party registration is necessary
- Only a credit card payment is allowed on the website
- Website is https://pay.yourdentistoffice.com/
- No website link necessary
Patient Portal
- Does not integrate nor require usage of the "Payment Portal"
- Payment requires the office's usage of Denticon Pay or Open Edge account
- Responsible Party must register for an account in order to obtain a "Patient Portal" account
- Allows the Responsible Party to:
- Check Balance
- Review ledger transactions
- Pay on Account via credit card
- Review Upcoming Appointments
- Update medical history
- Payment does not require nor use a Responsible Party unique Payment ID

- Website link from “Help / Downloads & Links” is able to be embedded on a dental office’s website
