Responsible Parties can access their account information online with Denticon's Patient Portal.
They are able to:
- Review Account Balance
- Make Payments
- Review Upcoming Appointments
Please follow these steps to set up your office so that your Responsible Parties have access to the Patient Portal
First, if you wish the Responsible Parties to pay online with a credit card, you’ll need to set up your office to allow access to the portal, so your patients are able to make payments, as well as the office’s ability to submit an e-statement to the Responsible Party
Ensure the office has an active TransFirst or Open Edge credit card processing account.

- Select an Office
- Click Edit
- Click on the Integration tab.
To activate patient payments through the Patient Portal, ensure your office has the TransFirst/Open Edge credit card processing information recorded on the Integration tab. Please contact TransFirst/Open Edge support if you need assistance.
- Click the Save button to save the settings.
Note:
If the credit card integration is not set up in the Office Setup screen, the responsible party will NOT be able to process payments online but only view their account history.
Next, make sure your Responsible Party records have a valid email address.
- Patient
- Search Patient
- Search for patient
- From the Patient Overview screen, click on the Edit button in the Responsible Party section (upper right corner)
- Ensure that the checkboxes for “Send Statements” are checked. If the Responsible Party wishes to receive email notification of a statement, ensure “Email Statements” is unchecked.
- Specify a valid email address for the Responsible Party. This is the same email that the Responsible Party account will use to access emails sent from the Patient Portal website and will be the Responsible Party’s User ID for the Patient Portal website.
- Click Save
Now, you’re ready for the Responsible Party account user to sign up.
The Responsible Party/User has control over this portion of the setup. The Responsible Party account user needs to sign up when accessing the Patient Portal for the first time
- Open the Patient Portal website – http://yourdentistoffice.com
- Click on the Sign Up link.
- Enter the email address that is recorded in your office’s Responsible Party records, and press Enter.
The Responsible Party /user should receive an email from noreply@yourdentisttoffice.com with details for logging in with a PlanetDDS-generated password. The Responsible Party/user has the opportunity to change the password in the Update Profile section, Change Password tab.
The Responsible Party/User can now log in by going to– http://yourdentistoffice.com
If your Responsible Party/User forgets their password
Click on the “Forgot your password?” link and follow the prompts.
This requires a valid email address (username). This is the same as the Sign-Up process.
A new password will be sent to the email address on file.
Note:
The Send Statements checkbox must be checked for the Responsible Party user to log in to the patient portal. It is not mandatory to receive Email Statements for a patient account to use the Patient Portal.
