Quick Answer
Once your organization is on DentalOS, sign in at the DentalOS sign-in page using your DentalOS username and password. After signing in, you can open Denticon, Cloud 9, and all other connected Planet DDS products from the DentalOS dashboard without signing in again.
Applies To
Product: DentalOS, Denticon, Cloud 9
Plan: All plans
Role: All users
Steps
- Go to the DentalOS sign-in page. Your administrator or Planet DDS will provide the address.
→ You will see the "Welcome to DentalOS" sign-in page with a 'Username' field.
- Enter your username and click 'Sign in'.
→ You will see a password prompt. If your organization uses single sign-on (SSO), you are redirected to your organization's Microsoft Entra sign-in instead.
- Enter your password.
→ If your organization requires multi-factor authentication (MFA), you are prompted to complete a second verification step.
- If prompted for MFA, complete the second verification step using the method your organization has configured: email, SMS, or an authenticator app.
→ After completing sign-in, you land on the DentalOS dashboard, or directly in a product if you have set a default landing page.
Open Your Products
Use the Launchpad on the dashboard to open Denticon, Cloud 9, and any other product you have access to. See "Open Denticon and Cloud 9 from DentalOS". To switch to a different product, return to DentalOS using the DentalOS icon in the product, then open the other product from the Launchpad.
If You Forget Your Password
If your organization allows self-service password reset, select 'Forgot password' on the sign-in page. After you sign in, you can also reset your password from your profile icon at the top of the page. If your organization has turned self-service reset off, ask your administrator to reset your password. See "Password policy and self-service password reset".
Good to Know
- Your DentalOS session times out after 120 minutes.
- You use one DentalOS username and password. You do not sign in separately to each connected product.
- You can set a default landing page so that you land directly in a product after signing in. See "Set your default landing page".
- If you cannot sign in, see "Troubleshooting: a user can't sign in to DentalOS".
