Issue description & signs:
This article will assist you if you are experiencing an issue with an error reporting "Invalid/Missing Provider Identification" when using the Eligibility Report attached to a patient's insurance when using the Real-Time Eligibility feature from DXC.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Access Setup > Providers > Provider Setup for the provider attached to the patient as the Preferred Provider.
- On the Info tab for the provider, press the Edit button.
- Find the field for TaxID # and enter the appropriate number. Press Save to confirm the change
- Return to the Patient Overview and press the icon with warning sign next the the Primary or Secondary insurance to attempt the RTE function again. If the error continues, submit a support ticket to the Dentcion support team.
Best Practices:
Always add the provider's TIN when setting up their profile. This prevent issues like this from occurring.
