Pre-Requisites:
The Signature on File feature requires a signature pad connected to the PC (via USB) and the driver for the signature pad downloaded from Denticon's dropdown menu for Help > Downloads and Links module beforehand.
User Setup Process:
Users can save a signature in their profile for use in Progress Notes rather than using a signature pad for every individual signature. If a signature is on file, users can click Load My Sig. in the signature section of the Progress Notes.
To save a signature file, administrators can use the following steps with the provider in office:
- Access the dropdown menu: Setup > Security > Users
- On the User Settings tab click Edit and have the provider use the signature pad to create a signature to save on file.
- Press Save to confirm the signature on file.
After saving, the saved signature is available for use in the Progress Notes module. Additionally, the signature on file feature is also available in the Medical History and the Consent Letters modules.
Important Notes:
- Each Computer the users are accessing to load their signature in the Progress Notes, must have the Topaz Signature Pad Drivers Installed from our Help > Downloads and Links page.
- Click the dropdown menu for Help > Downloads and Links to download the Drivers for Microsoft Edge and/or Chrome. If using Chrome, please also download the Chrome SSL certificate.
- The signature pad does not have to be connected to the PC to install the drivers but you will be prompted to enter the model of the signature pad. Once the download is complete, you'll have the option to load your signature in the Progress Notes module.
