Most of the time – 99% of the time – the Denticon program is probably stopping on any page which involves the signature pad:
- medical history
- progress notes
- patient consent documents
- treatment plan presentation to the patient
The problem resides with the Topaz signature pad drivers, which are interfering with the Denticon programming. Denticon closes when the Topaz signature pad drivers block the Denticon program.
To solve:
(1) Uninstall the Topaz signature pad drivers in the computer:
- Windows Start
- Control Panel
- Program and Features
- Locate the Topaz signature pad
- Uninstall
(2) Re-install the correct driver directly from Denticon:
- Click the word “Help” and choose the “Downloads and Links” option from the drop-down list
- Locate the “Topaz Systems Inc. Signature Pad” section
- Click the “Download e-Signature ActiveX Control” link
