While Denticon does allow the ability to send an email to a patient and/or Responsible Party, the Denticon program does not have the feature to allow attachments.
Since email is not considered a secure environment and, hence not considered HIPAA compliant, Denticon’s programming does not allow for attachments in patient communication.
If the office desires to send an attachment, the email communication must be from an outside email software such as Google Mail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail, etc.
However, you can email either a consent or treatment plan created in Denticon via email.
You can also email a patient by clicking their email address in the patient overview screen.
