Quick Answer
In DentalOS, open the three-dot menu on any user row on the 'Manage users' page to disable, force sign out, delete, or edit that user. Changes cascade to every connected product automatically.
Applies To
Product: DentalOS
Plan: All plans
Role: Admin
Steps
Open the user actions menu
- Select 'Users' in the top navigation bar.
- Locate the user row you want to manage, then select the three-dot menu at the end of that row.
Disable a user
- Select 'Disable' from the three-dot menu.
The user will be unable to sign in the next time they try. Disabling does not end sessions that are already active. To end access immediately, use 'Force sign out' instead.
Force sign out a user
- Select 'Force sign out' from the three-dot menu.
This immediately ends all of the user's active sessions in DentalOS and in every connected product account, such as an open Cloud 9 tab. You only need to do this once in DentalOS and it cascades to every product.
Delete a user
- Select 'Delete' from the three-dot menu.
This deletes the user in DentalOS and in every product the user has an account in.
View and edit a user profile
- Select 'View profile' from the three-dot menu. The profile panel opens with three tabs: 'Profile & settings', 'Org & product access', and 'Security settings'. You can edit most details except the username.
- Select the 'Org & product access' tab.
- Add the locations and products the user needs.
- Select 'Save'.
Saving updates the user's location access in Cloud 9 and Denticon, in whichever product you gave new access. The 'Org & product access' tab also lists each product and its locations, with 'Manage Denticon settings' and 'Manage Cloud 9 settings' links that open the user in that product. See "Open a user's product settings from DentalOS".
Expected Result
After saving, the user's updated access is reflected in DentalOS and in every connected product. If you used 'Force sign out', the user's sessions end immediately across all products. If you used 'Disable', the user will be blocked from signing in on their next attempt.
