When we go to save a progress note that has been entered we get a prompt saying “Invalid username or password. Please try again.” What do we do?
Whenever Denticon encounters this message, we usually discover:
- The username entered in the field is not correct
- The password entered in the field is not correct
- The signature pad is not being used for electronically signing progress notes
NOTE: If the office is not using a signature pad, there is not a need to input a username nor a password in the fields at the bottom of the progress notes screen. Those fields are intended only for usage when applying a "handwritten" signature to the progress notes in order to immediately lock the progress note, which protects the integrity of the type-written patient care information. The fields allow for a dentist signature when a dental assistant is logged into Denticon as the active user.
