Introduction:
There may be times when there are families that have appointments for multiple members on the same day. Denticon now allows you to send a group text based on the appointment date.
Issue description:
If location data tags are used in the campaign messaging, you might notice that the location data pulled is not the actual appointment location. This happens because the location data tags for campaigns setup to go to responsible parties pull information from the responsible party's preferred location, not the patient's appointment location. If the responsible party has a different home office than the patient, it can lead to messaging that references an office other than the one the patient is scheduled in.
Signs:
The text message will reference a location other than the office the appointment is scheduled in.
Basic troubleshooting steps:
- Select Patient.
- Navigate to the Patient Overview Screen.
- Click patient cell phone number to bring up Message Hub to review text history.
- Note the location referenced in the body of the message.
- Go back to the Patient Overview screen.
- Review the Responsible Party section of the Patient Overview screen; the Responsible Party's home office should match the location in the message.
Contact support:
Contact support if the location in the message is different than the one the appointment is in and the location also does not match the responsible party's home office.
Additional resources:
This will be addressed in a future update, by creating a data tag for appointment location.
Can we send appointment auto campaigns to the responsible party instead of each individual patient?
