Description:
There is a setting to lock the Responsible Party if you go to the Patient Overview screen and click edit in the Responsible Party section. A locked account will not let users post payments or transactions and will prevent users from making a new appointment. However, the account lock only functions within the Denticon application. It does not prevent patients from accessing an external patient facing site such as AppointNow and making a new appointment.
Best Practices:
There are two ways that you can see if someone made an appointment via AppointNow:
- Within the Scheduler Window, the AppointNow appointment have an icon(Q) to visually identify the appointment.
- There is also a report you can run in the appointment reports screen, the office can run this a couple of times a week to make sure a patient with a locked account has not made an appointment.
- Click the word “Reports”
- Choose the “Appointment Reports” options from the drop-down list
- Select the option "Appointment Detail"
- Define the desired report parameters to include appointments made via AppointNow
- Click the Print / Preview button
Additional information:
In the Responsible Party screen, there’s a field called ‘Account Locked’. How does this feature work?
