Responsible Party records can be set as a Locked Account.
Administrators and users with the appropriate security rights can set this at:
Patient > Responsible Party > Check the box for Account Locked > Save
OR
From the Patient Overview Screen > Click Edit next to the Resp ID > Check the box for Account Locked > Save
Rolling over the “i” icon displays what users with no Locked Account rights can and cannot accomplish with the Responsible Party and its Family Member records.
By Default, Administrators have been assigned the following rights:
- Appointments - Schedule Appointments for Locked Account
- Patient - Responsible Party - Locked Account
- Transactions - Post New Charges for Locked Account
- Transactions - Post Payments or Adjustments for Locked Account
These rights will over-ride the Account being Locked.
Administrators can assign the appropriate rights to additional User groups at:
- Setup > Security > Groups
Note: Locking an account only works within the Denticon application. A locked account will not prevent a patient from accessing an external patient facing site and performing restricted actions. For example, a locked account could still schedule an appointment via AppointNow or post a payment via the Payment Portal.
