Introduction:
Denticon provides users with the ability to distinguish between a general account and an ortho account, as well as link the patient's ortho account to their general account.
Process description:
If a patient's general account was entered as an ortho account or vice versa, it can be corrected by unlinking the accounts, editing the patient setup, then re-linking the accounts.
Prerequisites:
In order to indicate a patient as an ortho patient that can be linked to a general account, the ortho treatment card module will need to be turned on for the office.
Step-by-step instructions:
- Go to Patient>Add/Link Ortho patient or Add/Link General Patient. (Depending on which patient you have selected)
- Select the option to unlink the patient. It is helpful to note the IDs of the current general and ortho accounts:
- Once the patients have been unlinked, you can go to the Patient Overview for each patient, click edit and indicate which account should be the ortho patient and which should be the general account via the check box below:
- Once the patient's general and ortho accounts are correctly indicated, go back to Patient>Add/Link Ortho Patient or Add/Link General Patient. (Depending on which patient you have selected)
- You should see the option to link to either an existing ortho account or existing general account (depending on which patient you have selected). Now you can relink the two accounts.
