Link General and Ortho Patient Records
Some accounts have both a General and an Ortho Patient Record for a single patient. These records can be linked so that key information such as Demographics and Medical History are shared between the two. If this information is edited in one record, the information will be updated for both.
• From a General Patient record, click Patient > Add/Link Ortho Patient.
• Users can either search for an existing Ortho Patient or add a new Ortho Patient.
• If creating a new Ortho Patient record for the patient, the Demographics and Responsible Party will be copied by default. You may choose to include Insurance, Health History, Progress Notes, Patient Notes, and Prescription.
• Once the records are linked, there is a hyperlink in each patient record that will toggle between
the two records.
If the User needs to unlink the two records, they can access one of the patient records and again select
Patient > Add/Link Ortho Patient.
There will be an Unlink option on the screen.
