Description:
Denticon has introduced unique registration links for each patient, in order to better track online patient registrations. Previously, the registration link was unique for each office but the same for all patients in that office.
Best Practices:
- When texting patients or when creating templates for Automated Campaigns it is best practice to not include the registration link found under Help>Downloads and Links, as this link is formatted to support webpages.
- When sending a patient a registration link directly use the button included in the texting screen or smart assist.
-
- Use a template that includes the patient registration merge tag url.
- Update the office notes macros to use the patient registration merge tag url.
These steps help avoid potential script errors as well as prevent an existing patient from seeing the new patient workflow.
Additional information:
- When creating a new patient appointment, if the user chooses to send both an email and a text for registration, only the last selected option will be sent upon completing the appointment. This means that either a text or an email will be sent, but not both.
- When follow-up messages are sent via text or email from the new patient workflow, they will deactivate any previously sent links
