As of July 27, 2023 there have been some changes to Denticon's UI. Here's an overview of some of the changes to help you quickly acclimate and navigate.
Font and Colors
If there are challenges reading the font/color please attempt the following troubleshooting steps:
Right-Click on your computer's desktop and select display settings
Try increasing the display scale button by 25%
Go to Setup>Account>Advanced and make sure your color scheme is set to dark blue for better contrast and visibility. From the same screen you can also adjust which colors show on your ledger.
As with the old UI, font color on the scheduler is determined by which provider color or scheduler production color you select in your office's setup.
Patient Overview Screen
There are some notable changes to the patient overview screen. To text the patient, you can either click the blue hyperlink of the patient's cell phone number, or the Two Way text icon in the toolbar.
Also "View Insurance Plan" hyperlink has been replaced by clicking Group # to access the plan.
Customizable Toolbar
Note there has been an update to the graphical tool bar icons.
Denticon's new User Interface includes the option to create custom toolbars per user or Role for a unique and optimized interface. Toolbars will need to be assigned to users under their user settings.
To assign an existing toolbar:
- Setup>Security>Users>User Setting
- In the section labeled "Toolbar" assign a toolbar
To create a custom toolbar:
- Go to Setup>Custom Toolbar
- Click the "Add Toolbar" button
- Assign the desired functions
- Order of Toolbar Icons can be arranged as desired by using the arrows on the right hand side of the window to move Icons up or down (left to right)
Please note: In order to access the ability to create a custom toolbar the security right Setup>Security Custom Toolbar Screen Full Control must be assigned to a user.
Medical History Setup
There have also been changes to the way users can add or edit and rearrange the Medical alerts, Dental Questionnaire, and Medical Questionnaire
- Click the word “Setup” and choose the “Medical Alerts” option from the drop-down box.
- To add a new listing, click the Add New button.
- To edit an existing listing, select the desired alert. Click the Edit button and make the necessary change(s). Click the Save button.
- To delete an alert, select the desired listing. Click the Delete button.
- To move an alert listing, drag and drop the alert into the necessary section. Headers can be moved the same way.
- To save a draft of the medical history, click the Save Draft button,.
Changes to the Dental Questionnaire and the Medical Questionnaire are done in similar manner.
Pronouns
Denticon now allows patients to indicate their desired pronouns. This is an optional field on the health history forms; if patients decide to indicate their pronouns it will reflect on the scheduler.
The office can select which pronouns are available by going to Setup>Misc.Setups>Advanced>Pronouns
You can add or edit which pronouns appear as available for selection from this screen.
If you'd like to turn off the pronoun field completely you can go to Setup>Accounts>Advanced and set the "Pronoun Visible Field" to No
How Can I post a payment or adjustment under $0
To post a payment or adjustment under $0 type "0." and then the amount of the adjustment
I'm having a hard time removing secondary insurance, what am I missing?
The Add/Edit Secondary Insurance screen has had a new field added "Sec. Sub Rel to Prim. Sub", this will need to be set to none, as well as "Patient Rel to Sub", in order to fully remove secondary insurance.
