Selecting Primary vs. Secondary Dental Insurance
When entering a patient:
- Select “Primary Dental” if the patient has only one dental insurance plan.
- Select “Secondary Dental” if the patient has two dental insurance plans.
Note:
If “Secondary Dental” is selected, the “Primary Dental” checkbox will automatically be selected as well.

Attaching Secondary Insurance (If Applicable)
If Secondary Dental was selected:
- After completing the primary insurance setup, you will be prompted to attach the Secondary Dental Insurance as the next step.
- Repeat the same search and selection process to attach the secondary plan.

- Select the patient’s Relationship to Subscriber.
- Click Save to complete the process.
Additional Notes
- Ensure all insurance plans are properly configured in Setup > Insurance > Insurance Plan prior to attaching them to patients.
