When the user is presented with an “Access Denied” screen message, it means that the user’s security rights do not allow the function which the user is trying to access.
Only the office’s dentist-owner and/or the office’s administrator is able to make any security changes which allow or disallow a user to access parts of the Denticon program.
A primary reason for the error is that a key security right might not granted to the security group:
- Whenever a new security group is defined within the location via Setup / Security / Groups, the security group must include a very key security right if the group’s users should need to access various areas of the program.
- The missing key security right is indicated on the “Access Denied” screen, in the “PageName” line
- The dentist-owner and/or administrator should edit the existing applicable security group to allow the security group the right
To determine the missing security right, Denticon recommends to “follow the path” which is “determine the clicks which presented the screen error message. In the illustration below, the path chosen was “Transactions / Ledger” (or the “Ledger” icon was clicked. The missing security right is “Transactions - Patient Ledger Screen Full Control” or “Transactions - Patient Ledger View Only,” depending on the owner/administrator’s decision regarding security group rights.
NOTE: Any changes to the office’s security group rights must be made by the office staff. Denticon’s team does not enter nor edits any office security group memberships.
