Insurance carrier identification numbers are termed “Legacy ID numbers” in the dental insurance industry.
Denticon allows the office to record the provider’s Legacy ID number in the provider’s setup.
To record a provider’s Legacy ID number:
- Click the word “Setup” and choose the “Providers” and “Provider Setup ” options from the drop-down box
- Click the provider’s name
- Select the Ins-ID tab
- Click the Edit Provider button
- Select the applicable insurance carrier from the list
- Enter the Legacy ID
- Click the Add button
- Click the Save button
The carrier ID will reflect in Box 52A or Box 58 on the ADA claim form based on the Billing or Treating Provider.
