The differences regarding the various "Provider Type" options are:

Dentist –
- procedures and appointments may be associated to the provider
- claims can be generated for the provider
Hygienist –
- procedures and appointments may be associated to the provider
- claims cannot be generated for the provider, but will be generated for the patient's preferred dentist provider
Assistant –
- procedures and appointments may not be associated to the provider
- claims cannot be generated for the provider
N/A –
- procedures and appointments may not be associated to the provider
- claims cannot be generated for the provider
