When the user is presented with an “Access Denied” screen message, it means that the user’s security rights do not allow the function which the user is trying to access.
A primary reason for the error is that a key security right might not granted to the security group:
- Whenever a new security group is defined within the location via Setup / Security / Groups, the security group must include a very key security right if the group’s users should need to access various areas of the program.
- The key security right is “Patient - Search Patient Full Control”
- The reason this right is key: the user must first locate the patient record in order to move around within the patient's record.
For quick guidance, whenever the “Access Denied” message is presented on the screen, the missing security right is identified in the screen message via the “Page Name” line. To correct, the office administrator should review the security group to consider including the missing right.
