For data security purposes and HIPAA requirements, Denticon requires each user to change the password every year.
NOTE: In its operating protocol, the dental office may require that users change the password more often.
To change the password:
- click the Change password button … OR
- click the word “Setup” and choose the “Security” and “Change My Password” options from the drop-down list
- input the current expiring password
- input the new password (minimum: 8 characters)
- confirm the new password
- click the Save… button
The password recovery tool will recognize multi PGID usernames. The reset function will be based on the
first PGID’s username and email address.
In our continuing effort to protect your account and data, changes must meet the password policy:
- Passwords cannot contain the username as part of the password. For example, if your username is rsmith, the password cannot be set to ABCrsmith123.
- Passwords cannot match any of the five previously used passwords for the username.
- Password rules and their fulfillment will appear on the right side of the screen.
The user will be logged out of Denticon.
Re-login to Denticon with the new password.
NOTE: If the user does not update the password within the designated timeframe, the office administrator must assist the user to enter a new password.
