All x-rays and images displaying the same study, series, and acquisition dates

Behavior: 

When viewing x-rays or images for any patient within XVWeb, all studies, series, and individual acquisition dates are the same regardless of the actual date the images were taken. 

Example: 

 

Root Cause: 

The above behavior occurs when an actual date is entered in the Date Format field within Settings > Site Settings instead of the standard variables that indicate what date format XVWeb should use. 
 

Example: The above image shows all dates are "10-31-2020," because "10-31-2020" is specified in Settings > Site Settings > Date Format:

 

Resolution:

The Date Format field must be changed to use a valid date format, such as:

  • YYYY-MM-DD
  • MM-DD-YYYY
  • DD-MM-YYYY

Where YYYY = year, MM = month, and DD = day.

Steps: 

  1. Log into your XVWeb URL as a user with Admin privileges
  2. Click the username icon in the top-right corner of XVWeb
  3. Select Settings, then Site Settings
  4. Change the Date Format field to a valid date format as outlined above
  5. Scroll down and click Save, then refresh the page

Example: 

The Date Format field has been updated to use a valid date format: 

 

The same x-rays shown in the "Behavior" example now show their correct study, series, and acquisition dates after saving the change, indicating the issue is now resolved:
