The following guide does not apply if all workstations within the practice are prompting for XVWeb credentials. If this is occurring, ensure the correct XVWeb credentials are entered under Setup > Offices > Office Setup > Integration for your Denticon OID instead.
Behavior
On specific workstations (not all):
When bridging to XVWeb via Tooth Icon 2, or via Restorative Charting > X-Ray, XVWeb lands on a login screen instead of automatically bringing the user to the patient's record in XVWeb.
Resolution
This occurs when incorrect Windows Date and Time settings cause XVWeb's login token to expire prematurely upon its request. To resolve this issue, the Windows Date and Time settings must be corrected.
To correct Windows Date and Time on impacted workstations:
- Right-click the date and time in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar.
- Select Adjust date/time from the context menu.
- Under Time Zone, toggle Set time zone automatically to On.
- Under Current Date and Time, toggle Set time automatically to On.
- Click Sync now to force an immediate time sync and confirm the settings are working.
Once completed, Refresh the window running Denticon, then attempt to bridge to XVWeb via Tooth Icon 2 or Restorative Charting > X-Ray. XVWeb should now load normally.
