Overview

This guide covers the way that XVWeb enforces a two-hour inactivity limit on user sessions requiring periodic activity to remain signed in to the XVWeb system

Environment

Software: Apteryx 4.32.0 and higher

Resolution

XVWeb has a time limit on the login time, even if “stay logged in (24 hours)” is checked upon sign in.

If you are logged in for more than 2 hours with no action being taken, your user will be automatically logged out. Users are informed by a "toast" notification letting them know they will/have been logged out due to inactivity

The “stay logged in (24 hours)” only sets the length of time before you are prompted to login again while remaining active in XVWeb.  You would need to remain active at least once every 1h59minutes throughout that 24h to avoid being signed out.

Inactivity always has a 2h limit.

This functionality cannot be disabled or modified due to regulatory requirements. Upon logging back in, you will be returned to the screen you last had open.
