Renumbering or Updating Image Tooth Numbers in XV Web
Overview
This article explains how to update or correct tooth number associations for images in XV Web. Proper tooth association ensures images display correctly in patient records and align with clinical expectations.
When to Use This Process
You may need to renumber or relabel tooth associations when:
- An image is linked to the wrong tooth number
- Tooth numbering was selected incorrectly at capture time
- A layout needs to be updated to reflect correct anatomical positioning
- Images appear correct visually but are associated with the wrong teeth
Steps to Renumber or Update Tooth Association in XV Web
1. Open the Image
- Navigate to the patient record in XV Web
- Open the study containing the image you want to edit
2. Select the Image Tile
- Click on the image tile you want to update
- Ensure the image is highlighted and active
3. Edit Image Details
- Select Edit to open the image properties panel
- Locate the Teeth or Tooth Association field
4. Update the Tooth Association
- Remove the incorrect tooth numbers if present
- Select the correct tooth or teeth using the tooth chart
- Adult or Deciduous dentition can be chosen as needed
- Confirm the correct teeth are highlighted
5. Save Your Changes
- Click Submit or Save
- Confirm the updated tooth numbers now display correctly beneath the image
