If you are logged in for more than 2 hours with no significant action taken (e.g. navigating to a different patient), or the tab running Apteryx is left inactive, your account will be automatically logged out. Users are informed by the toast notification above letting them know they will/have been logged out due to inactivity.
This functionality cannot be disabled or modified due to regulatory requirements. Upon logging back in, you will be returned to the screen you last had open.
There is a checkbox below that gives users the option to stay logged in for 24 hours.

If the checkbox is checked, the user will not be prompted to log in again throughout a 24 hour period. However, the user would need to remain active at least once every 1h 59 minutes throughout the 24 hour period to avoid being signed out, as inactivity will always have a 2 hour limit regardless of this setting.
- If the checkbox is unchecked, the user will be prompted to log in again after 2 hours, regardless of activity.
