Editing Patient Information

You can update the patient information stored with your images in Apteryx. Patient information is the first name, last name, date of birth, gender, primary id, and patient comments.

Procedures

When the View Page displays, click the Patient Edit icon next to the patient's name at the top of the page (if you don't see the icon of a box with a pencil in it, your user does not have Edit privileges)

Update or change the appropriate values, and click Confirm.

NOTE: If you are also using practice management software, you most likely will need to update the same information in the PM software, as well. Changes made to DICOM information in XVWeb are not automatically communicated to other software.

If you have two patients that you would like to merge, use the steps listed above to edit one patient to match the other EXACTLY (barring the Patient comments section) in order to complete the merger within XVWeb. Click this link to view the accompanying video for merging charts
