Overview
We’ve introduced a redesigned Progress Note experience to make documentation clearer, faster, and more consistent across all practice locations. This enhancement focuses on reducing confusion, minimizing documentation time, and improving accuracy through a modern, unified interface.
What’s Changed
Unified, Consistent Interface
The Progress Note interface has been consolidated into a single modern experience. The legacy “old UI” is no longer available, ensuring all users see the same behavior regardless of location or prior settings.
Why this matters
- Consistent workflows across all locations
- Easier training and onboarding
- No switching between different interfaces
Improved Review Note Layout
The Review Note step now displays significantly more vertical space for viewing completed note content. Action buttons—such as Attachments, Signature, and Update Note—have been moved to a dedicated right‑hand panel.
Why this matters
- Less scrolling when reviewing notes
- Easier verification before finalizing
- Cleaner, less distracting layout
Clear Selection Indicators
Selection behavior is now visually clear:
- Single‑select questions display radio buttons and automatically advance after selection
- Multi‑select questions display checkboxes and require clicking Next to proceed
Why this matters
- Eliminates confusion between single vs. multiple selections
- Reduces selection errors
- Improves documentation accuracy
Favorite Templates
Users can now designate up to 10 favorite macro templates, which appear as tiles when creating a new Progress Note.
Why this matters
- One‑click access to commonly used templates
- Less time spent searching
- Ideal for standardized workflows
Improved Question Navigation
Progress Notes now use a master‑detail layout:
- Questions appear in a left‑hand panel
- Response options appear on the right, with up to 20 options visible without scrolling
Why this matters
- Clear visibility into documentation progress
- Ability to jump directly to any question
- Reduced scrolling fatigue
Removal of Auto‑Selection
Questions no longer auto‑select the first response option by default. Users must actively choose each answer.
Why this matters
- Ensures all responses are intentional
- Improves record accuracy
- Reduces liability risk from overlooked defaults.
