Description:
The Medical Alerts, Medical Questionnaire, and Dental Questionnaire all are dependent on previous versions of the form having the same entry to bring data forward to a new copy of the form.
Compatibility:
The old data entered on a previous form or visit will not be brought forward to a new version of the patient's Medical Alerts, Medical Questionnaire, and/or Dental Questionnaire if you make any changes to the Setup > Medical Setup questions.
These changes can be as minor as adding a period or changing the spacing. Once edited, even returning the phrasing to the original text will not the information be brought to the new form.
Best Practices:
- Be sure that you are checking with your clinical team before making changes under this menu to understand which questions may be critical to leave in place.
- While it is possible to recover this information in most cases by going to a patient's previous versions of the entries, it can cause confusion if questions impacting care have missing data when reviewing new Patient Registrations.
- Make sure that only essential personnel have access to the following:
- Setup - Dental Questionnaire Full Control
- Setup - Medical Alert Setup Full Control
- Setup - Medical Alerts Screen Full Control
- Setup - Medical Questionnaire Full Control
- General access team members are recommended to have access to the following:
- Setup - Dental Questionnaire View Only
- Setup - Medical Alert Setup View Only
- Setup - Medical Alerts Screen View Only
- Setup - Medical Questionnaire View Only
