The Pick List allows the user to select from a pre-defined list of items. The list may be used to help the user pick an answer from a list, instead of typing it each time. This helps the user enter information which may need to be repeated many times. Examples are:
- teeth numbers
- quadrants
- materials
The pick list may be used within these areas:
- progress notes, via the question prompt
- letters generated to a single patient, via the question prompt
- medical questionnaire
- dental questionnaire
To incorporate a Pick List within the questionnaires:
- click the word “Setup”
- choose the “Medical Setup” option from the drop-down list
- select the desired questionnaire – “medical questionnaire” or “dental questionnaire”
- click the applicable button – Add Question
- input the desired questionnaire text
- select the “Pick List” radio button
- select the desired pick list
- click the Save button
- click the Proof / Finalize button to review the changes
- click the Save button to save the changes
To input the information with the patient’s medical history:
- access the patient’s record
- click the “Medical Alerts” hyperlink
- click the Add New button
- select the desired questionnaire section
- input the patient’s questionnaire information
- click the Save button
