Our payment processor informs all Denticon users that a signature on a credit card transaction is not necessary in the dental office.
Because the dental office and the patient have a “personal” relationship, each side of the transaction assumes the validity of the other side of the transaction.
To provide a record of the transaction to the patient, a Walkout Report (aka: receipt) should be printed for the patient:
- Click the icon for “Print Reports”
- Choose the “Walkout Report” option from the drop-down list
- Click the Print / Preview button
If the office desires to have the patient sign a document, the office may:
- Click the icon for “Print Reports”
- Choose the “Letters” option from the drop-down list
- Change the “”Select Letter Group” from “Marketing Letters” to “Patient Consent”
- Select the document
- Click the Print / Preview button
NOTE: If the “credit card authorization” document is not in the Patient Consent section, the dental office is able to input a document with the desired text via “Reports / Custom / Custom Letters”
