Diagnosis Codes (aka: ICD Codes) must be input:
- click the word “Setup”
- choose the “Procedure Codes” and “ICD Codes” options from the drop-down list
- click the Edit button
- input the desired ICD code information
- Code
- Description
- ICD-9, ICD-10 or SNOMED
- click the ADD CODE button
- click the SAVE button
Mapping the ICD Code to the Dental Code
- click the word “Setup”
- choose the “Procedure Codes” and “CDT to ICD” options from the drop-down list.
- Select the Dental Code
- click the Edit button
- place a check-mark by the desired ICD code information
- click the Save button
To input ICD codes within a patient’s insurance claim:
- Access the Ledger
- click the date of the claim
- click the Claim Fill-Out Information button
- up to four ICD codes may be indicated in the ICD fields
- click the Save button to save the information to the claim
- click the Save button to push the claim to the "utilities / batch claims processing" screen for e-claiming to DentalXChange, for their submission to the dental carrier
