Many times, specialist offices (endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, oral surgeons) enjoy understanding from where the patient is referred.
The office may indicate that a patient has been referred from a referring dentist or entity:
- Access the patient record
- In the Patient Information section, click the Edit button
- Click the " Referral Type" field
- Choose the desired referral type (usually “Doctor”)
- Using the blue/white arrow to access the referral search screen
- Input the referral source’s name
- Click the Search button
- Select the desired referral source
- Click the Select button
- Click the Save button
