Our office completed one phase of treatment, and need to refer the patient to a different dentist. How do we indicate the patient is under the care of a different dentist in a different practice?

The office may indicate that a patient has been referred to a referral dentist:

·   Access the patient record

·   In the Patient Information section, click the Edit button

·   Click the "Referred To" field

·   Select the desired referral source

·   Using the calendar icon, indicate the “Ref. To Date”

·   Click the Save button
