The procedure should be posted to the patient’s record on the current date. This is the “Transaction Date” which reflects the actual date that a specific type of financial transaction was entered.
The Date of Service (DOS) should be edited for change:
- Access the Ledger
- Click the transaction date
- Change the “DoS Date” field to reflect the proper Date of Service (do not change the “Transaction Date” field)
- Click the Save button
On the Ledger screen, the correct DOS will appear in the procedure’s description.
When a claim is generated, the correct DOS will appear on the claim.
