An insurance carrier requires our office to indicate ICD codes on the dental claim form. What does our office need to do?

The office must input the ICD code within the Denticon setup:

• Click the word “Setup” and choose the “Procedure Codes” and “ICD Codes” options from the drop-down list
• Click the Edit button
• Input the ICD Code
• Input the Code description
• Click the Add button
• Click the Save button

When generating the insurance claim:

• Click the Claim Fill-Out Information button
• Select the applicable ICD Code(s)
• Click the Save button to save the Claim Fill-Out Information
• Click the Save button to save the claim to the electronic claims batch

NOTE: ICD Code information may be obtained via a web search, or in medical reference code books
