What Is Denticon Practice Analytics?
Denticon Practice Analytics (DPA) is a built-in analytics suite within the Denticon dental practice management platform. It provides real-time and historical performance dashboards covering:
- Production and collections
- Hygiene recall and patient retention
- Provider performance and utilization
- Treatment plan tracking
- Patient visit trends
DPA is designed for DSO executives, office managers, front office staff, and providers to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions.
Which Dashboard Should I Use?
Today's Office Schedule and Production Progress
Use the Morning Huddle dashboard (Version 2 recommended). The "Today's Schedule" view shows MTD production vs. goal, collection percentages, patient counts, provider utilization, today's exams, outstanding A/R for today's patients, pending treatment plans, and SRP opportunities.
Collections and Accounts Receivable
Use the Collections Analysis dashboard, which contains four reports:
- Report 1 – Collections Analysis: Gross/net collections and adjustments by office.
- Report 2 – Outstanding A/R: Total unpaid balances by patient and insurance.
- Report 3 – Outstanding Claims: Pending insurance claims.
- Report 4 – Provider Collections: Collections broken down by provider.

Hygiene Performance and Patient Recall
Use the Hygiene Recall dashboard, which includes:
- Average Daily Net Production
- Hygiene Retention Rate (12 months)
- Adjunctive Therapy %
- Hygiene Reappointment %
- Production Per Visit
- Breakdowns by patient type (Child, SRP, Perio, Prophy)
Treatment Plans and Unscheduled Patients
Use the Treatment Plan Analysis dashboard to see production amounts by treatment status (Diagnosed, Accepted, Scheduled, Completed), case acceptance rates, and patient-level lists of unscheduled treatment. Use the Unscheduled Patients with Accepted Treatment Plan Details drill-through for outreach lists.
Overall Office Performance at a Glance
Use the Front Office dashboard for a comprehensive single-page overview including:
- Net Production (vs. goal, 7-day trend)
- Net Collections and Collections % of Production
- Outstanding A/R
- Provider Utilization
- Appointment counts (New Patients, Recare, Hygiene, Daily)
- Unscheduled Treatment (patient count, plan count, Case Acceptance Rate, % Preauthorized)
- Opportunities (Unconfirmed Appointments, No Show Appointments)
From any tile, you can drill through for additional details.
Insurance Carrier Performance
- Production by carrier: Use the Production Analysis dashboard → "Top Insurance Carriers by Net Production" (click Open for the full list).
- Outstanding claims by carrier: Use Collections Analysis → Report 3 (Outstanding Claims) → "Top Insurance Carriers by Outstanding Claims."
- Collections by carrier: Use Collections Analysis Report 1 → "Top Insurance Carriers" donut chart (right-click or click the arrow to drill through).
