Introduction and issue description:
This guide is intended for users who access a previously saved report under the Reports > My Favorites menu and get no results if the Print/Preview button is pressed.
Signs:
You previously saved a report to the Reports > My Favorites menu. When you click on the title of the report to access it, pressing Print/Preview does not generate a secondary window loading your report.
Basic troubleshooting steps:
- Access the Reports > My Favorites menu.
- Click the Name of the report and note the Report Criteria for later. (A screenshot is recommended.)
- Return to the Reports > My Favorites menu and note Breadcrumb of the report. (A Breadcrumb is the click-path to reach this report normally.)
- Press the Trashcan button to remove it.
- Use the Breadcrumb to access the Reports menu and find the report again.
- Enter the Report Criteria and press Add Report to Favorites.
- Return to the Reports > My Favorites menu and access the report. Press Print/Preview to run the report as usual.
Advanced troubleshooting steps:
- Access the Reports > My Favorites menu.
- Click on the Name of the report that will not print.
- Note the Report Criteria and setups you have customized for later. (A screenshot is recommended.)
- Return to the Reports > My Favorites menu.
- Note the Breadcrumb of the report that will not print for later. (This is an exact trail of dropdown menu options needed to reach the report from the Reports > Submenu.)
- Click the Trashcan button on the line of the report that will not print.
- Access the Reports menu and select the report from the earlier Breadcrumb.
- If you have successfully deleted the report from the Reports > My Favorites menu, a button to Add Report to Favorites will be visible here.
- Fill in the Report Criteria as you wish for them to be saved.
- Press the Add Report to Favorites button.
- Return to the Reports > My Favorites menu again.
- A new version of the report should now be saved here and the Print/Preview button should now work when accessing the report from the Reports > My Favorites menu.
