You’re attempting to bridge from Denticon and you receive the following error: Failed to Connect with Denticon Bridge Service.
The Denticon Bridge Service is a program that facilitates the bridging of patient demographic data from Denticon running in Google Chrome to your locally installed Imaging Software such as Dentiray Capture.
- This is an independent program that needs to be installed separately from Help>Help and Support>Denticon X-ray Bridge Services section.
***The Old Microsoft Edge browser is not supported and will not function with the Denticon Bridge Service! The New Microsoft Edge is fully compatible and supported. Please make sure your Edge Browser is up to date before attempting to use it.
Once it is installed onto your computer, it needs to be running. You can know if it’s running by observing the Denticon Bridge Service Icon in your task tray down by your clock on your Windows computer.
If you don’t see the icon down in your task tray, it may just need to be restarted. You can restart this service by double clicking on the Denticon Bridge Service icon on your desktop. The icon should then appear on your task tray.
If double clicking on the Denticon Bridge Service Icon on your Desktop doesn’t start the service, most of the time simply rebooting the computer will correct this.
The most common problem that prevents the Denticon Bridge Service from starting up is that there are multiple Windows users logged into the computer at one time. The best practice for this is to make sure anyone who logs into the computer logs off or signs off when they are finished. Switching users is not recommended.
