When an appointment is canceled from the scheduler or the patient’s record, a window will appear
to confirm and list the origin of the cancellation. This will help tag appointments for follow up.
These options can be added and managed by administrators at Setup > Misc Setup > Basic Tab > Appointment Cancellation Reasons.
The following cancellations reasons are hard-coded and is the program default for all Denticon accounts.
By default the following options are made available and currently no changes can be to made to them
- Automated cancellation
- Cancelled and R/S
- Cancelled and rescheduled
- Cancelled by Email
- Cancelled by Office
- Cancelled NOT rescheduled
- Cancelled same day
- No reason provided
- Test
- Cancelled by Denticon Patient Engagement
Appointment cancellation reasons can be set to inactive so that they are no longer visible in the drop-down menu by changing the Inactive drop-down to “Yes” and then click save.
Please note that the 'default' cancellation reasons cannot be set to inactive.
A report to follow up on the cancelled appointments can be found at: Reports > Appointment Reports > Appointment List> Cancellation List.
The report can include date range, patient type, responsible party type, providers, and/or cancellation reasons.
