When the recall procedure is posted from the patient’s Treatment Plan screen, Denticon will automatically guide the user through the proper steps for ease and efficiency.
To post and input the next recall appointment:
- Access the patient’s Treatment Plan
- Checkmark the procedure(s) completed during the current appointment
- Ensure the provider(s) for the selected procedures are correct
- Click the Post to Ledger button
- The patient’s Recall Due Dates screen is updated based on the recall setting in Setup>Procedures>Procedure Codes:
- From Patient Overview - Recalls - Edit Recall Due Dates screen, Click the Schedule Appt button
- The Scheduler Window is presented for the next recall due date
- Input the patient’s new appointment, ensuring embedding the anticipated recall procedure(s) into the appointment:
- If the patient’s Treatment Plan already has additional applicable uncompleted recall procedures, single left-click the procedure’s description and click the Add button
- If the recall procedure is not already added to the Treatment Plan for selection, click the “Quick Add” tab and manually input the procedure(s) into the appointment
- Click the Save button
NOTE: Manually inputting an anticipated procedure within the “Quick Add” tab function will not add the procedure to the patient’s Treatment Plan for posting when completed. The procedure should be added to the patient’s Treatment Plan prior to the appointment date so that it may easily be posted to the Ledger as completed.
NOTE: Only embedding the anticipated recall procedure within the appointment will allow the proper information on the recall reports and postcards. Manually adding the anticipated due date in the patient’s Recall Due screen will not generate the proper recall report and postcard information.
NOTE: If an appointment is put in for the patient and no recall procedure is embedded into the appointment, the recall reports and postcard information will not be accurate. Additionally, the patient’s Overview screen will not present the correct information within the “Recall” section.
