First Visit, Last Visit and Recall Due date is based on the the date the procedure(s) were posted to the ledger, regardless of where it was posted from (Scheduler, Transaction, Treatment Plan, Restorative Chart).
The listing of recallable procedure codes listed in each patient's Edit Recall screen is defined in Setup/Procedure Codes. While the Setup will return the default recall Interval to the screen, the interval can be changed and customized per patient.
For example, if the default recall interval for a prophylaxis is six months but the patient needs to have
the procedure accomplished every three months, the number in the Int(erval) column can be
changed to “3” for the prophylaxis.
“Scheduled Recall Date” is updated and saved automatically for the specific recallable procedure code(s) entered into the patient's recall appointment in the Scheduler.
When the recallable procedure is posted, the “Recall Due Date” is automatically calculated and updated based on the parameters in Setup/Procedure Codes. If the recall interval needs to be changed for the individual patient, the Recall Due Date will initially need to be manually altered to reflect the first desired recall date.
The “First Visit” date is obtained the very first time any procedure code is posted to the
ledger.
The “Last Visit” date is updated based on the posting to the ledger the procedure code(s) of every subsequent visit after the First Visit Date. NOTE it doesn't matter where the procedure(s) were posted from in order to update Last Visit.
