Introduction:
If you have cancelled an appointment but still the appointment in the Patient Overview, this guide can assist you in reviewing the issue.
Signs:
- Your screen is shaped like a square (4:3 aspect ratio)
- Your browser is zoomed-in/has text with '...' after it in fields of text in Denticon
Troubleshooting steps:
From the Patient Overview, hover your cursor over the Status message in the Appointments module. The full message will appear in a dialogue box as is shown below.
While appointments that are deleted will no longer appear here, we do not recommend this method as it will remove all the information for the appointment from the Call List making the appointment impossible to find in the future. Deleted appointment data cannot be recovered.

Best Practices:
When cancelling patient appointments, review for cancelled appointments via the dropdown menu for Reports > Appointment Reports and select the Call List option. Filter the report by Cancellations and Missed Appointments.
Also check the browser zoom to ensure that you can see all details for the Denticon webpage. Sometimes, a magnifying glass will appear in the top-right corner of the window. Clicking it will allow you to adjust the size of the elements displayed in the window.
You can also try using the keyboard commands below in Edge or Chrome for your device:
-
Zoom in/larger elements displayed:
- Press Ctrl and + keys at the same time.
-
Zoom out/smaller elements displayed:
- Press Ctrl and - keys at the same time.
-
Enter/exit full-screen mode:
- Press F11 (sometimes Ctrl + F11 or Fn + F11).
