Introduction:
Denticon's effective scheduler feature allows you to set a provider's scheduling availability as of a certain date. This is useful for seasonal hours, future provider working hour changes, pre-scheduling a new provider's working hours, or special events.
Denticon's scheduler watermarks serve as a guide to scheduling specific production types at the desired times for a provider.
Process description:
To change the watermarks for just one day to reflect production for a special event day, you'll need to create an effective schedule for that day, then add in the watermarks for that effective schedule date.
Prerequisites:
To complete the steps below, you'll need to have the security right "Setup-Provider Screen Full Control" assigned.
Step-by-step instructions:
- Go to Setup>Providers>Provider Setup.
- Select the provider you'd like to create an effective schedule for.
- Click the "Edit Provider" button.
- Click on the "Schedules Tab".
- Click the "Add New Schedule" button.
- Enter in the date of the special event in the "Effective From" field, set the provider working hours, then press the "Add" button.
- Press the "Save" button.
- Click the "Edit Provider" button once more, this time select the "Watermarks" tab.
- Select the new effective schedule you entered from the "Effective From:" drop down menu.
- Enter in the desired watermarks and press save.
- Once the day passes, you can delete the effective schedule you created for the special event day and the watermarks and schedule will go back to the previous scheduler effective date setup.
Tips and best practices:
Watermarks are only visible when viewing the scheduler with a user view or provider view selected since the watermark templates and effective scheduler dates are specific to individual providers.
