Introduction:
When default coverage categories are updated, it updates the settings for future plans added into the system moving forward. However current existing plans are not retroactively changed to the new coverage categories.
Tips and best practices:
As a work around to update existing plans, you can create a new version of the plan with the same information and the new default coverage categories should populate for that plan. You can then go to Utilities> Insurance/Procedure>New Plan Assignments. Assign all of the patients attached to the Old Plan ID to the New Plan ID.
