We want to ensure that our billing information will correctly print on claims. How can we create a test claim to see if the insurance billing provider and treating provider info is correct?

To generate a test insurance claim for a patient, Denticon advises to generate a pre-authorization insurance claim:

·   Access a patient record which has insurance attached

·   Access the patient’s Treatment Plan screen:

o Click the word “Transactions” and choose the “Treatment Plan” option from the drop-down box

o Click the Treatment Plan Entry icon () in the picture toolbar

·   Enter a procedure that can be billed to insurance

·   Place a check-mark in the box on the left of the procedure

·   Click the Pre-Auth button

·   Click the Direct Print button to generate the claim 

·   Review the information on the claim

To remove the generated Pre-Authorization claim from the patient:

·   Click the word “Transactions” and choose the “Pre-Authorization List” option from the drop-down box

·   Click the date of the pre-authorization claim

·   Click the Delete Pre-Auth button
