The icons designate the status of applicable insurance for a patient.
NOTE: Not all insurance carriers electronically report eligibility. For those carriers that do electronically report eligibility, the icons are understood as follows.
If the office has indicated on the Setup tab in the “Setup/Offices“ as checking eligibility, the view will show patient insurance status.
The “P” indicates the patient has one (or primary) dental insurance plan on file in Denticon. The “S” indicates the patient has two (or secondary) dental insurance plans on file.
If the icon is green in color, the patient is considered eligible for insurance coverage.
The red icon color indicates the patient is considered not eligible for insurance coverage.
If the icon is grey in color, the insurance coverage is unknown from the insurance carrier.
The same indicators are noted on the Patient Overview page, next to the words Primary and Secondary.
