Description:
A Letter Templates option is now on the appointment right-click Print menu, opening letters for that patient directly from the appointment book.
Key features:
Front desk staff can print school or work excuses, missed-appointment notices, and similar letters without leaving the schedule to find the patient in Letters.
Pre-Requisites:
The letters the office would like to see must be available in the Office Assignment screen (Setup>Offices>Office Assignment>Letters tab)
Note: Users will need the Setup - Office Screen Full Control security right access and edit the assignment of letters to the office.
Users must also enable the toggle for each letter to be used in the right-click menu. This toggle can be found by going to Reports>Custom Letters and clicking on the Appointment Letters option in the drop-down. Each Appointment Letter will have a toggle. Click the toggle so that it turns blue, indicating that this letter is enabled for use in the right-click menu of the scheduler.
Note: Users will need the Reports-Custom Letter Full Control security right to turn on the toggle.
How to use:
Right-click on an appointment on the schedule to open the right-click menu. Then hover the mouse over Print>Letter Templates and click on the letter you wish to use. The letter will open in a separate pop-out window. From there, users can save the letter as a PDF, export to Microsoft Word, or print.
Best Practices:
If the letter you are looking does not appear for selection in the right-click menu, check the following:
1) The letter is assigned to the office in the Office Assignment screen
2) The toggle enabling the letter in the right-click menu is turned on in the Custom Letter setup (Appointment Letters)
